Chapter Nine
LANCE SLEPT for about four hours, then they took more photos, these in the studio in front of a backdrop of mountains with snow. They even had fake snow for Bran to lie in as they posed.
Tide was distracted, though, thinking about Lance’s upcoming punishment for saying “I’m sorry” several times.
“You guys did a great job. Thanks. Thank you for your patience. I’m so sorry about the nap.”
Bran hugged Lance tight. “I keep telling you we didn’t mind.”
“And I keep telling you not to say ‘I’m sorry.’” Tide gave Lance a stern look. “You just keep adding to your punishment every time you do.”
Lance blinked over at him, eyes huge behind his glasses. God, that look made him hot. Lance handed out the checks to them, the paper rattling a little bit.
“You sure you don’t need any more shots for the job?”
“I’ve got all the shots I need, so we’re good. It didn’t take as long as I thought it would. I’m sorry.”
“There you go again.” He tapped Lance’s nose. “And if you need anything else from us, if you’re less finished than you thought, don’t worry about payment, just call us and we’ll be here.”
Tyrone and Bran chimed in their agreement.
“I…. Maybe I… I mean, I don’t know. Probably? Maybe?” Lance was babbling and he knew it.
“Take a breath, darling.” Tide kissed him.
“You keep doing that.”
“And I’m going to keep doing it.” He intended to kiss his boy for eons.
“Come for dinner tomorrow, guys.” Tyrone shouldered his bag, one hand holding Bran’s.
“We’d love to. Text me with what to bring.” Tide answered like it was the easiest thing on earth. He gave Tyrone and Bran hugs, and closed the door behind them. Then he turned back to Lance. “You want to stay here or go back to my place?” He hoped Lance would come over, stay somewhere he could rest, not work all night. “We can pack a bag, you can stay a couple of days….”
“Are you sure? I could….”
“Of course I’m sure. I’ll even help you pack.”
“Okay. Okay, yes. Please.”
“Good. Come on.” He led Lance back to the bedroom. “You need a bag. Some clean underwear, a pair of jeans or two.”
“Okay. And shirts. Maybe a hoodie.”
“That’s the spirit.” He grinned, helping put clothes into a backpack Lance came up with.
He needed to get his boy leathers, something tight and form fitting. Sexy. It made him groan just to imagine it.
“You okay?” Lance asked.
“Uh-huh.” Grabbing Lance’s arm, he tugged his boy close and stole a kiss.
Lance opened up, tongue sliding on his, tasting him.
“God, you’re sexy. Hot. You make me need.”
“Am I?” Lance stroked his belly, the touch featherlight and easy.
“Oh yeah. Maybe we can make love one more time here before we go.”
Lance pinked, eyes dancing, seeming to laugh at him. “Insatiable.”
“For you? Yes. Absolutely.”
“Are you always so wanton or is it me?”
“Oh, it’s you, Lance. It’s definitely you.” He loved how Lance lit up when he said those things. “Come on. Bed.” He grinned, tugging Lance toward the little bed.
